Safety Advice - Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust

General Safety Advice is given in Frequently Asked Questions - How safe is car sharing? but for Hospital employees the following extra advice is given:

Use the internal telephone system or e-mail as your point of contact
Tell your colleagues what you are doing

Once you have made a satisfactory match you can apply for a preferential car parking permit by filling out the appropriate form available from your administrator who can be contacted on 01872 253039 .

We recommend that you meet your match in the reception of Trelawney Wing or in the main reception of one of the partner groups.

Make sure you show each other your ID passes so you know you are travelling with the right person - especially if you have extended your search and are travelling with someone from a different organisation.

PASSENGERS
Make sure you have seen the drivers license and insurance details for their vehicle prior to travelling

DRIVERS
If you offer anyone a lift you must inform your insurance company that you are giving people a lift under a liftshare scheme - this is easily created by using the sample letter
similarly if you are going to ask for a contribution towards a journey your insurance company needs to be aware you are doing this.

The safety of our members is a priority for the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust. We have tried to ensure the Carsharecornwall.com website is as secure as possible. All members details are stored securely in the database and only the members intended travel information can be accessed on - line within the specified search.
